The Mohawk men’s rugby team has added high level technical strength and experience to its coaching ranks with the appointment of Bob McGeein as an assistant coach.
McGeein’s credentials speak for themselves. He coached the Ontario Senior Men’s Rugby team; is the former manager of the Canadian National Senior Men’s Rugby team and managed the Rugby Canada Elite Athlete Development Programme.
“I can’t even begin to express my excitement of having Bob come on board,” said Mountaineers’ head coach and three time Ontario Colleges Athletic Association Coach of the Year, Alex Paris.
“You really can’t look at Bob as an assistant – just look at what he has done over the years. Working with someone who has played and coached at the national level will only enhance our program. His vast knowledge and experience is priceless. I am so excited for our players.”
McGeein was recently elected to the Rugby Ontario Board of Directors, returning to the organization he had previously served as Vice Chair.
