The London Majors scored two runs in the top of the third inning and capitalized on four Twins’ errors en route to a 6-4 win at Nelson Park in an Intercounty Baseball League game on Thursday (July 7).
Steve Froese singled and scored twice for the Majors (16-8) while Shawn Robinson singled, scored and drove in a run. Tyler Graham doubled and scored and Chris Chambers doubled and registered an RBI, while Josh Federico had two RBI.
Adam Paish was the winner, pitching a complete game giving up nine hits and four earned runs with three walks and five strikeouts.
Branson Joseph singled, doubled, scored a run and had one RBI for the Twins (6-18), while Kyle Gappa had three hits with one run scored in the loss. Jonathan Slattery had a solo home run, and Matt Spillman had a single, a run scored and an RBI.
Starter Kurtis Robinson was dealt the loss, giving up seven hits and four runs – three earned – with one walk and seven strikeouts over the first six innings. Three additional pitchers closed out the game for the Twins.
