Card’s starting pitcher Justin O’Reilly was in a zone and the Waterloo Tigers couldn’t get at him during recent Inter-County Baseball Association play. O’Reilly pitched six scoreless innings and struck out eight as the Major Bantams caged the Tigers, 4-2.

Hamilton broke open a scoreless game with four runs in the top of the seventh and final inning. Ty Porter had two runs-batted-in while single RBIs were from Marlon Krupa and O’Reilly.

Card Christian Nunez allowed two runs in relief in the bottom of the seventh to preserve the win.

“Justin’s pitching was outstanding,” said Card’s bench coach Osmar Nunez.

“All aspects of our game were better,” added head coach Rich Minken.
