Mohawk men finish third at Fleming Invitational Cross Country

Mohawk men finished in third place behind Fanshawe and Fleming College in Fleming’s Invitational Cross Country race in Peterborough on Saturday (Oct. 15).

Hassan Ishaq led the Mountaineer contingent finishing the 8-kilometre event 7th overall, timed in 29:58. Jon Redfearn was right behind in 8th place in 30:00. Michael Marshall wound up 19th in 31:32.

The men’s winner was Sean Sweeney of George Brown, clocked in 27:57

Meanwhile, in the women’s 5K race, Mohawk’s Brittany Russell finished in 10th place in 24:16.

Erika Houde-Pearce of Georege Brown won in 20:41. Fleming won the team title. Mohawk did not have a women’s team.
