After five years of coaching the Warriors’ football program at the University of Waterloo, former Hamilton Tiger-Cats assistant coach Dennis McPhee has resigned.
McPhee resigned from his head coaching position this week and will be leaving the university.
Bob Copeland, University of Waterloo Athletics Director, said the change in leadership comes at a time when the Department of Athletics program “is evolving according to a strategic direction built around core values and goals that best position the school for success in interuniversity sports.”
While at Waterloo, McPhee’s Warriors never had a winning season.
The football program was cancelled for one season after a doping scandal results in multiple player suspensions.
McPhee was an assistant coach with defensive responsibilities for the Ticats.
