Louis Leblanc is going to Montreal.
Specifically the Hamilton Bulldogs forward is going to the Montreal Canadiens, who have recalled him from their American Hockey League affiliate.
Leblanc, 20, has played in 14 games for Hamilton this season and is tied for second on the team with 10 points (four goals, six assists) while registering two power play goals and 48 shots on goal. The 6-foot, 184-pound forward played in 51 games with the Montreal Junior of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League in 2010-11, posting 58 points from 26 goals and 32 assists, while amassing 100 penalty minutes.
The native of Pointe-Claire, Quebec was drafted by the National Hockey League Canadiens in the first round, 18th overall in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft and signed an entry-level contract on July 30, 2010.
The Hamilton Bulldogs’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 2, when they will be hosts to the St. John’s IceCaps at 7:30 p.m. at Copps Coliseum.
