Marauders introduce gridiron defensive recruits

What little snow Hamilton has is trying to stay around and pretend it’s winter, but already the McMaster Marauders are talking football for next season. On Wednesday (Feb. 29) the first group of recruit commitments for 2012 was announced and the emphasis is on the defense.

Defensive Coordinator Greg Knox believes this incoming group – all on the D-side of the ball – includes some of the premier players at their positions coming out of the Ontario high school ranks. The rookies have the potential to compete for playing time immediately, and will provide outstanding defensive depth, says Knox.
