Bulldogs come up empty to end road trip

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – The Oklahoma City Barons blanked Hamilton, 3-0, in the final game of the Bulldogs franchise record-long 12-game, 26-day road trip.

After a scoreless first period in the American Hockey League game, the Barons took a 1-0 lead when Antti Tyrvainen scored an unassisted 2-on-1 shorthanded goal against netminder Peter Delmas just 3:22 into the second period.

At 8:36 in the third period, Hunter Tremblay doubled the Barons’ lead on a pass from Mark Arcobello. Tyler Pitlick also earned an assist on the play. Ryan Keller would add an empty net goal with 35 seconds to play to cement Oklahoma City’s 3-0 win.

The Barons edged the Bulldogs 35-30 on the shot clock before a crowd of 2,652.

The Bulldogs return home to Copps Coliseum to take on the Rochester Americans at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 7.
