The Major Bantam Hamilton Cardinals fell 14-1 to Burlington at Ireland Park in Burlington on Monday (May 14).
While the Cards had little to celebrate during the Central Ontario Baseball Association, Noah Skirrow did have a one-for-one effort at the plate, a single in the fourth inning. And Mack Hammond’s sacrifice fly in the second inning produced the lone Cardinal run.
Burlington needed just the first inning to secure the win. The hosts poured eight runs across the plate in their first at-bat.
Hamilton, now 1-2 on the season, is back in action Wednesday (May 16) at Bernie Arbour Stadium against the Brampton Braves.
