Second no-hitter eludes Minor Bantam1 Cards

Five Hamilton pitchers came one swinging-bunt single away from throwing a no-hitter.

The Minor Bantam 1 Cardinals’ pitchers – Anthony Marzanek, Ethan Hammond-Srsan, Matthew Holman, Justin Stephenson, and Caleb Andreychuk-Feuerstake – were dominant throughout the 4-1 Central Ontario Baseball Association victory over the Brampton Braves. Hamilton improved its regular-season record to 5-0-1.

The lone Brampton hit in Tuesday’s (May 22) game at Heritage Green Park came with one out in the sixth inning on a ball that dribbled down the third base line and barely stayed fair. The Cards have had one no-hitter this season.

Caleb Radley drove in two runs to lead the Minor Bantam Cardinals offensively on the night.
