A six-run sixth inning lifted the Hamilton Cardinals Major Bantams to a 12-7 win over the Twins in Central Ontario baseball Association play on Wednesday (May 23) in Mississauga.
In the Cards season opener, the Twins were 3-2 victors.
Hamilton led throughout the contest scoring single runs in the first (on a passed ball), second, and third innings. The host Twins narrowed the gap with single runs in the second and third innings before Hamilton scored a trio of runs in the fourth inning and took control of the game with their fifth inning outburst.
The Twins threatened with five runs in the bottom of the fifth but couldn’t overtake the Cards.
