Skirrow holds Georgetown in check

The Major Bantam Hamilton Cardinals erupted for four runs in the fourth inning to seal a 7-0 decision over Georgetown in Central Ontario Baseball Association play.

The Cardinals beat Georgetown 7-0 in seven innings on Wednesday at Bernie Arbour after a five-run explosion in the fourth inning.

The Cardinals, playing at home at Bernie Arbour Stadium on Wednesday (May 23) improved to 5-4 on the season with their second straight win. Tyler Hamilton was perfect at the dish for Hamilton with a 3-for-3 performance which included a double in the fourth inning and singles in the third and sixth innings.

On the mound, Noah Skirrow allowed Georgetown just one hit in his five innings of work. He gave up just two walks while striking out four.

The Cards play on Wednesday, 6:45 p.m. at Bernie Arbour with the Mississauga Bengals visiting.
