Hamilton dominated the game with strong defense and offense throughout the game to hand the Wolves their first loss of the season.
Starting pitcher Justin O’Reilly completed two innings, striking out one, giving up two hits, and one earned run. Travis Tomlinson pitched two innings, striking out one, surrendering two hits, and allowing no runs. Hayden Waselynchuk threw another four complete innings, striking out two, giving up four hits, and allowing three earned runs. David Vanderby pitched the final inning, striking out one and giving up three earned runs.
Notable defensive plays for the Cards came from second baseman Richard Minken and shortstop Grant Preece who turned a double play in the sixth inning when the Wolves threatened.
On offense, the Cards were led by Gavin Barnard, Marlon Krupa, and Travis Tomlinson, all with two 2 RBI each.
