Rookieball Cards make up for slow start

The Rookieball Hamilton Cards had a tough time getting the bats started in their Tuesday (May 29) game against the Milton Mets at Mahoney Park.

Shutout through the first five innings of the Central Ontario Baseball Association tilt, the Cards found the start switch in the sixth and seventh innings to take an 8-7 decision.

Zack Woodworth went 3-for-4 as the lead off man, scored once and had an RBI. Carson Johnson banged a couple of RBI, and Ryan Taylor was 3-for-3 and scored twice.

The Cards have a record of four wins and three losses in regular season play.
