The Hamilton Cardinals lost, 6-1, in four innings at Mohawk on Tuesday (May 29), despite outhitting the Brampton Royals five to three in Major Mosquito play.
Seth Cabezas was hot from the plate for the Hamilton Cardinals in the Central Ontario Baseball Association game. Cabezas went 2-for-2 and scored one run. He singled in the second and third innings.
The Brampton Royals didn’t relinquish the lead after scoring three runs in the first inning when they scored on a groundout by T.J. Schofield and a two-run triple by Matthew Penney.
The second inning saw the Hamilton Cardinals score their run from an RBI single by Michael Langdon.
The Brampton Royals tacked on another three runs in the third. Penney kicked things off with a double, scoring CJ Maury. That was followed up by a groundout by Kyle Mekhuri that scored Penney.
The Cards have a record of two wins, five losses, and one tie.
