Peewee Cardinals reign over Royals

The Hamilton Cardinals Minor PeeWees defeated the Brampton Royals, 12-4, on Wednesday (May 30) at Mohawk Sports Park in six innings.

The game was a see-saw affair heading into the fourth inning when Hamilton scored five runs RBI singles by Jordan Simpson and Tommy Thompson, an error, and a couple of passed balls.

Sean Pettener reached base three times in the game for Hamilton. He singled in the fourth and walked twice.

Starting pitcher George Tsiflikiotis went two innings, allowing one run on two hits, a hit batter, and a walk. Reliever Connor Goodes also pitched two innings allowing two earned runs on four hits and a walk. Josh Tee pitched a hitless final two innings, walking three batters. Goodes picked up the win.

The Cards record in Central Ontario Baseball Association play is seven wins and two losses.
