Peewee2 Cards keep perfect record

Hamilton Cardinals Minor Peewee Tier 2s remained unbeaten on Wednesday (May 30) at Mahoney Park with a 15-0 home victory over the Georgetown Eagles. Andrew Johnson got the complete game win, finishing with three strikeouts, four walks while surrendering three hits in the Central Ontario Baseball Association game.

Taking their at-bats in the third inning, Hamilton had a 2-0 lead when the dam burst. The Cards poured 12 runs across the plate.

Leading the way at the plate was Michael Wheaton, going 3-for-3 – all singles – and scoring once. Jacob Gajic was 2-for-3 with a double and single and crossed home twice.

The Cardinals, now 7-0 in 2012, are off until next Wednesday, June 6 when they travel to Joe Sams Leisure Park to take on the Waterdown Wolves.
