St. Kitt’s, Hamilton rowers off to world’s


The St. Catharines Rowing Club has strong representation in the group of athletes selected to represent Rowing Canada Aviron at the World Rowing Under-23 Championships.

The 2012 event will take place from July 11 – 15 in Trakai, Lithuania. The Canadian team will depart Canada on July 2 for a pre-event training camp that will also take place in Lithuania.

Training in Victoria BC at the Victoria Training Centre in the Lightweight Men’s 4 are: Graham Schenck, St. Catharines Rowing Club/University of Western Ontario; Marc Addison, Vancouver College / University Of Western Ontario; Evan Cheng, UBC; and Maxwell Lattimer, Vancouver College / University of Western Ontario, BC

The U23 Men’s 4 consists of Keegan Drummond, St. Catharines RC / Brock University; Ryan Rosts, Ridley Grad BC / North Eastern; Tim Schrijver, St. Catharines / Brock; and David Lariviere, Hamilton Leander Boat Club / University of Western Ontario.

Training at the London (ON) Training Centre in the Women’s U23 Lightweight 2x are Erin Snelgrove, St. Catharines RC; and Elizabeth Fenje, Saint Michaels University School / Stanford, BC.
