Tier 2 Peewee Cardinals on 12-game win streak

Hamilton Cardinals Minor Peewee Tier 2 put up their 12th win in regular season play, beating the host Milton Mets, 14-6, on Wednesday (July 4).

Starting pitcher Jack Morin gave up four runs while striking out two and walking two in the Central Ontario Baseball Association game. Hamilton has lost just once this season and that was on May 2 in the season opener.

Michael Wheaton came on in relief and struck out four Mets batters while walking one and allowing two runs.

Kyle Samson went 2-for-3 with three runs scored while Jacob Gajic also went 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles and scoring twice.

The team is back in action on Wednesday (July 11) when they are hosts to the Georgetown Eagles at 6 p.m. at Mahoney Park.
