Starter Adam Hawes earned the senior Intercounty Baseball League win for the Baycats (16-14), allowing just one earned run on five hits, with one walk and five strikeouts over six innings.
Jordan Lundberg had a pair of hits and two RBI with a run scored in the win, while Matt Logan singled and doubled with a run scored and an RBI. Jeff Cowan added two hits and a run scored while Rob Recuenco had a hit with two RBI and two runs scored. Kyle DeGrace singled and scored twice and Mike Reeves singled and scored a run.
Alex Gale was charged with the loss, allowing four runs – three earned – on three hits over 1 2/3 innings pitched.
The Twins managed nine hits but made two errors on the night. Mattingly Romanin had three of the nine hits with a single, double and triple, adding one RBI and a run scored. Zach Elbirt singled and doubled, scoring twice while Branson Joseph added a double. Jamie Lekas singled and scored a run, while Darryl Pui and Aberdeen Chan each singled. Peter Bako drove in a pair of runs in the loss.
