Cards’ Pettener too much for Majors to handle

Sean Pettener pitched lights out for Hamilton holding the Majors to just one run off one hit while striking out five in his 4 2/3 innings of work that produced a 6-1 win for the Cardinals over their Mississauga rivals in the Central Ontario Baseball Association.

The first inning of the Minor Pee Wee division contest saw the Majors score their only run on an RBI triple. Hamilton then took control scoring two runs in the second and adding three more in the third inning.

Ian Jordan was 1-for-3 and Jared Hill was 1-for-2 in the Cards’ 11th win of the season against six losses.
