Peewee 2 Cards just keep going

One would have thought that playing eight games in six days would have worn down the Hamilton Minor Pee Wees T2.

Not so.

The Cards finished that grind with a convincing 20-2 clubbing of Milton on Wednesday at Mahoney Park. During that run, Hamilton lost just one game, a 7-2 decision to Brampton. The Cards outscored their Central Ontario Baseball Association opponents 87-22 and improved their Central Ontario Baseball Association record to 18-3-1.

On Wednesday, the Cards scored 15 runs in the second Inning.

Pitcher Jack Morin started and got the complete game. In addition to the 15-run second frame, Hamilton scored once in the first and four times in the fourth.

Milton tallied singles in the second and fourth.

Every Cardinal Player in the Line-up registered at least one hit. Brock Hudecki led the way with a 4-for-4 evening, scoring three times. Mitchell Snow finished 3-for-3 while crossing the plate three times. Jacob Gajic, Michael Wheaton and Laurence Bistoyong all finished their evening 3-for-4.

Minor Peewee T2 will play this weekend in Oshawa’s Dawg Dayz of Summer Tournament. After the tournament, the Cards have two remaining games in league play: Tuesday, Aug 7 at Mahoney Park against Brampton Braves and they finish the regular season with a road Game at Waterdown the next evening. Both games are scheduled to start at 6 p.m.
