Hamilton women’s baseball planning for 2013

The Hamilton Women’s Baseball Club is set to hold another tryout on Sunday (Sept. 23) at 1 p.m. at Mahoney park.

The club hopes to attract enough players who are interested in the 2013 to play a 5 to 7 inning ball.

The session will be informal and fun and no previous hardball experience is necessary. Many players on the club have only softball or fastball experience and some come with limited diamond experience.

Organizers ask that players wear ball pants or other comfortable pants and a cap. Cleats are recommended but not mandatory. Tops should consist of a jersey (no spaghetti strap tank tops). Sleeveless tees or jerseys are acceptable.

Helmets are mandatory and will be provided for those who do not own one. No softball bats please as bats will be provided.

Pre-registration is encouraged to ensure there is sufficient interest and players should indicate if they are a pitcher or a catcher or wish to be one. The minimum age is 15 years but there is no maximum age limit.

Pre-registration can be done by calling 905-574-3941, emailing abequeacademy@hotmail.com or visiting the website http://www.leaguelineup.com/welcome.asp?url=hamiltonwomensbaseballclub
