The Humber Hawks took possession of first place in Ontario Colleges Athletic Association women’s fastball, with a 14-5 romp over the Mohawk Mountaineers at Mohawk Sports Park on Tuesday (Oct. 9).
Jacqueline O’Quinn handcuffed the home side with a four hitter and got three RBI support from her sister, Jessica O’Quinn, and Shelby Robblee.
Humber got off to a very quick start leading 10-0 after two and a half innings. The Hawks scored two runs in the first inning and four runs in each of the second and third frames.
Jessica Entwistle was the losing pitcher for Mohawk. Stephanie Accomando led the Mountaineers with two RBs and a run scored. Humber is now 10-2 on the season and Mohawk is 0-12.
