Two members of the Mohawk women’s team were honoured at the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association women’s fastball banquet on Thursday (Oct.18) in Markham.
Outfielder Stephanie Accomando and infielder Nicole Leitch were both named league all-stars.
The fastball player of the year award went to Humber’s Jessica O’Quinn, who led the OCAA with a .591 batting average and a new single season record of 29 runs batted in.
The OCAA Fastball Championship starts Friday (Oct. 19) with Seneca meeting Durham and St. Clair against Humber. The double knockout championship runs until Saturday afternoon.
Mohawk finished the season with a 0-15 record.
