In 2010 tragedy struck the Sagodi family when Matt Sagodi’s mother, Sally, collapsed and died while standing on a football field watching her sons play football. Now, tragedy has struck the family again.

Matthew was rushed from Hamilton to London last week and now requires a heart transplant. The Hamilton Wentworth Minor Football Association, where the 6-7 Matt participated for more than 12 years, is organizing efforts to help the family.

The association is in the process of establishing a donation fund and website link. Organ donation in Ontario is a critical issue that helps people to have a chance at times like this.
