Marauders hit Top 10 in five sports

As McMaster’s fall teams move on to playoffs, some new Marauder teams, and some familiar ones, find themselves in the Canadian Interuniversity Sport’s Top Ten rankings.

The McMaster men’s and women’s cross country teams head to Western University to compete at the CIS championships this weekend. With the women ranked No. 2 and men at No. 7, the Marauders have realistic shots at winning medals in the individual and team events.

After having the week off, the men’s volleyball team holds its No. 3 spot, tied with Manitoba. They will look to extend their 3-0 streak with games on the road against the Ryerson Rams and the Toronto Varsity Blues.

To round out the Top Ten’s for the Marauders are the women’s and men’s swimming teams. Despite both teams dropping in the rankings, the women begin the week at No. 8, while the men sit at No. 10.
