The host St. Lawrence Vikings scored a 70-40 semi final win over the Mohawk Mountaineers in women’s tournament basketball play in Kingston on Saturday (Jan. 5).
Carissa Browne had eight points and Katelyn Arbour added seven for the Mountaineers.
“We just didn’t compete at all in the first half,” said Mohawk coach Kevin Duffy. “(We) got too far behind and were dominated in every aspect of the game. It was very disappointing coming off such a great effort the night before (versus Nouvelles Frontieres).
“Our inconsistency is very frustrating,” said Duffy. “A different team shows up every night and we are certainly capable of much better.”
The Mountaineers will try to show that in their final tourney game on Sunday against Champlain.
