Forward Tyler Murovich has signed a Professional Try-Out Contract with the Hamilton Bulldogs.
Murovich, 23, has played 38 games this season for the Gwinnett Gladiators of the East Coast Hockey League and ranks fourth on the team in points with 23 (9 goals, 14 assists) and 49 penalty minutes. In 143 regular season games in the ECHL with the Reading Royals, Wheeling Nailers and Gwinnett Gladiators from 2011-13, Murovich has registered 90 points (34 goals, 56 assists), a plus-eight rating and 177 penalty minutes.
The native of Pittsburgh, PA., played 32 regular season games in the American Hockey League with the Syracuse Crunch, Springfield Falcons and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in 2010 and 2011 posting 10 points (4 goals, 6 assists) and 25 penalty minutes. The 5’9”, 185-pound forward spent three seasons with the Saginaw Spirit of the Ontario Hockey League from 2007-10 notching 153 points (70 goals, 83 assists), a plus-51 rating and 206 penalty minutes in 189 regular season games.
The Bulldogs’ next game is against the Heat in Abbotsford, B.C. on Tuesday (Jan.15).
