Three players brought in to shore up the Bulldogs’ lineup have had their cup of coffee, received a thank you from the American Hockey League team and have been sent on their way.
The Bulldogs parent National Hockey League team, Montreal Canadiens, re-assigned forward Ian Schultz to the Utah Grizzlies of the East Coast Hockey League while forward Riley Armstrong and defenceman Mark Isherwood were released by Hamilton from their Professional Try-Out Contracts.
All three played two games against the Abbotsford Heat on Tuesday and Wednesday. Schultz, 22, recorded two shots on goal and two penalty minutes. Armstrong, 28, registered three shots on goal and two penalty minutes. Isherwood, 23, posted one shot on goal and scored on his shootout attempt On Wednesday.
The Bulldogs’ next game is against the Toronto Marlies at Copps Coliseum on Saturday (Jan.19) at 7 p.m.
