Ron Wilson and the Hamilton Bulldogs have parted ways. The club announced on Tuesday (Jan. 22) that Wilson had been relieved of his duties as assistant coach of the American Hockey League team.
“I met with Ron and notified him that he was relieved of his duties. This was a difficult decision to make, but due to a difference in philosophy, we felt it was best to part ways,” said head coach Sylvain Lefebvre.
“Ron has spent several years with the organization and we thank him for his loyalty and hard work and wish him the best of luck with his career in professional hockey.”
Wilson, 56, was in his ninth season with the Hamilton Bulldogs (2003-09, 2011-13).
