In handing the Guelph Phoenix, one of the province’s top ranked teams, their first loss this season, 25-12, Blessed Sacrament claimed the gold medal at the tourney. The Hamilton squad finished the weekend affair with a perfect 4-0 record.

Top scorers in the championship game were Charlie Bontis, with 18 points, and Dante Lentini, with the remaining seven.

Blessed Sacrament opened the tourney with a 34-24 win over Brantford on Friday.

The next day, the team scored a 26-18 victory over St. Catharines and in a semi-final game later Saturday, Blessed Sacrament advanced to the championship game after disposing of London Gold Medal, 34-11.
