Bailey singled out in swimming

mac swimmersMcMaster’s Cameron Bailey was the recipient of the 2013 Dr. Jeno Tihanyi Award for Individual Medley Excellence, after Ontario University Athletics swimming championships wrapped up in Toronto on Feb. 9.

The award is given to the athlete with the highest combined scores in individual medley events over the course of the OUA season. Bailey demonstrated his prowess in the IM format at the OUA finals, claiming a gold medal in the 200m event and a bronze in the 400m.

The Marauder veteran joins 25 of his teammates in Calgary when McMaster sends its entrants to the Canadian Interuniversity Sport championships, which will be contested over three days, Feb. 21-23.
