Bulldogs lose their bite against Americans

bulldogsHamilton’s winning streak was stopped at four game after the Rochester Americans blanked the Bulldogs, 2-0, on Monday afternoon (Feb.18) at Copps Coliseum. David Leggio stopped the 30 shots he faced for his second shutout against the Bulldogs this American Hockey League season.

The Americans first goal, and eventual game winner, came midway through the first period on a power-play goal by Brayden McNabb. His shot from the point hit a Hamilton player and was redirected past recently acquired goaltender Dustin Tokarski.

The Amerks final goal came at 1:06 of the second period as Luke Adam raced down the left side. He shot from the faceoff circle and Tokarski’s blocker missed the puck.

Still, Tokarski stopped 47 of 49 shots in his second game as a Bulldog. Hamilton managed 30 shot on goal.
