Admirals make Bulldogs walk the plank

bulldogsOn the positive side the Hamilton Bulldogs outshot their opponents, the Milwaukee Admirals on Sunday afternoon (Feb. 24) at Copps Coliseum.

On the negative side, the Admirals outscored the Bulldogs, 2-0, in the American Hockey League contest witnessed by 5,237 spectators.

Magnus Hellberg stopped 25 shots for the shutout.

The Admirals opened the scoring at 12:41 of the second frame on a goal by Juuso Puustinen. Kevin Henderson chipped the puck towards the net from the top of the right circle and the shot was blocked in front. Puustinen picked up the rebound and roofed it by goaltender Dustin Tokarski.

Chris Mueller added an empty netter for Milwaukee at 19:51 of the third stanza to seal the deal for the Admirals.

The Bulldogs outshot the Admirals 25-22 to finish the game.

The Bulldogs’ next game is against the St. John’s IceCaps at Copps Coliseum on Tuesday (Feb. 26) at 7:30 p.m.
