Two McMaster Marauders will bolster the West team for the Ontario University Athletics women’s all-star basketball game on Saturday (April 27). This year, the action is headed to Sault Ste. Marie as Algoma University hosts the sixth annual contest.

Representing the Marauders at the conference showcase will be veteran post Hailey Milligan and rookie guard Danielle Boiago.
Milligan was recognized as an OUA West First-Team All Star in March, after averaging 16.3 points and 11.5 rebounds per game over the course of the 2012-13 season. Milligan’s points per game average ranked fourth among OUA players, while her rebounding average was the highest of any player in the country.
Boiago was similarly honoured at season’s end as OUA West Rookie of the Year after a season in which she ranked eighth in the conference with an average of 15.3 points per game. She was subsequently included in the Canadian Interuniversity Sport All-Rookie Team.
The first year member of the Maroon and Grey started all of McMaster’s games, and challenged single-season school records in both steals (51) and three-point field goals made (39), finishing second all-time in both categories.
The all-star game features a full day of events, beginning with an Ontario Basketball Association Mega Hoops Mania clinic run by the OUA all-stars. The two-hour event will lead participants through progressive activities as they learn the proper execution of basketball fundamentals. After the clinic the OUA players will take to the court for the Recharge with Milk 2-Ball contest, which will have the all-stars teamed up to determine which hoops duo can make the most baskets in 60 seconds.
The OUA All-Star game is being held in conjunction with the 2013 Under-15 Midget Girls OBA Ontario Cup, with games taking place in Sault Ste. Marie all weekend.
