Eighteen-year-old Hollie Naughton of Oakville has been named to Canada’s Junior Women’s Squash Team for the upcoming Pan American Junior Championships in Belo Horizonte, Brazil from June 17 – 23.
Naughton, who plays out of the Ontario Racquet Club in Mississauga, is the reigning Canadian U19 Champion, and is also currently ranked #1 in Canada in the U19 division. At the recently completed Canadian Squash Championships, Naughton finished fourth in the Open Division. She represented Canada at the Pan American Championships in 2010 and at the 2011 Jr. Women’s World Team Championships and is vying for a spot on the 2013 Canadian Jr. World’s Team.
Joining her on the PanAm team are Chloe Chemtob, 15, from Montreal; Jillian Baker, 18, from Aurora, Ontario;
And Evelyn Moorhouse, 18, from Calgary;
The Canadian Women will be led by Squash Canada Women’s National Coach Melanie Jans of Georgetown Ontario.
