JUEL – which stands for JUnior ELite – is a premier league for female players in the Under-19 age division in Ontario. There will be 14 franchises in operation this coming season. Teams must have a minimum of 12 players and only two can be in Grade 10. Players can be in university or college providing they are not on a varsity team.
Because of its highly competitive nature and skill level, it is regarded as the province’s strongest development league and is scouted by college and university coaches.
