It’s a Black day for Nova Scotia

baseball2Hamilton’s Tim Black threw a complete seven inning 8-2 victory to lead Ontario over Nova Scotia at the 21-Under Junior baseball championships in Dartmouth, N.S., on Thursday (Aug. 15).

Ontario got on the board early with five runs in the first two innings to quickly get ahead. Leadoff hitter Brandon Gignac (Lasalle, ON) was a force on the base paths, stealing two bases and scoring twice.

Tim Black handcuffed the Nova Scotians but had trouble with Evan Comeau (Waverley, N.S.) all game as he reached base three times.

Ontario tops the standings with a 2-0 record.
