The St. Mary Secondary School’s senior Crusaders are participating in a football and cultural exchange with the Terry Fox High Secondary School Ravens.
The program with the Port Coquitlam, B.C. school is being run under the auspices of the Hamilton Wentworth Catholic District School Board and St. Mary SS.
The Ravens arrived in Hamilton on Aug. 19 and will be hosted by St. Mary football student athletes until Aug. 25 when the Crusaders will travel to Port Coquitlam and visit until Sept. 1.
The display of friendship and hospitality through sport allows the student athletes to experience cultural events, visit geographical and historical sites in both provinces and practice and play football together with their counterpart hosts.
