Garnett put his ability from set pieces to good use this past week, as McMaster extended its winning streak to six games and outscored its opposition 6-0 in Ontario University Athletics.
The third-year midfielder contributed to Wednesday’s demolition of the Waterloo Warriors by paving the way for Karl Bicamumpaka’s goal – the third of the game – with a well-directed corner. Garnett one-upped his midweek performance on Sunday, scoring the game’s only goal with a beautiful free kick as McMaster edged Western, 1-0.Black, a second-year fly half, played a leading role as McMaster coasted to a lopsided 67-0 win over the Toronto Varsity Blues on Saturday night. Black scored five tries, as the Marauders put up 11 over the course of the game and gave her ample kicking practise. She responded by successfully kicking six converts, leaving her with a game-high of 37 points as McMaster took home its second dominant win in as many weeks.
The Marauders have outscored their last two opponents 108-0.
