Mountaineers search for first rugby wins

Mohawk_Rugby-featuredThe Mohawk Mountaineers will try for tries again. And attempt to conclude their Ontario Colleges Athletic Association rugby seasons on a winning note.

The Mountaineers’s final games, against the Sheridan Bruins, were rained out on Oct. 26. They have been rescheduled for this week.

The women will play on Wednesday (Oct. 30) at 5:30 p.m. on field number two at Mohawk Sports Park. The following day, the men will take to the field at 7 p.m. on field number one at the park.

Both Mohawk teams will take 0-5 records into their matches against two Bruins teams with 1-4 efforts. The Mountaineers women have been outscored 36-247 while the Bruins have been edged 59-140.

For Mohawk’s men, the picture has been even more grim – 23-351. Sheridan’s for-and-against record is 37-143.
