It was a tough trip for the Cambrian Golden Shield, travelling to Hamilton from Sudbury. As a result, both Mohawk teams are 4-1 in the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association West Division, while both Cambrian teams are 0-6.
The Mountaineer women coasted to a 66-31 victory, as Stef Hrymak scored 17 points. Natalie Fisher scored nine, Allyson DeLorenzi had eight and Katelyn Arbour and Carissa Browne each contributed seven.
Karlee Duggan and Trish Taylor each scored seven for Cambrian.
The Mohawk men whipped Cambrian 103-59. Matt Fennell scored 19 points to lead the Mountaineers. Taylor Dowhaniuk, Xzennis Brereton and Andrew Cicuttini each had 12 points with Cicuttini adding nine rebounds.
