The Marauder men’s swimming team needed just one week to move into the Canadian Interuniversity Sport top ten rankings.

A strong showing at its own Tihanyi Division Championships this past weekend was enough to have McMaster sitting No. 8 after the Marauders were left out of the season-opening swimming rankings a week ago.

On the weekend, the team finished a close second to the CIS No. 1-ranked Toronto Varsity Blues at the division championship meet it hosted on Saturday and Sunday. The Marauders finished the meet with a team total of 1,058.5 points, 104 back of Toronto’s winning total of 1,163.

McMaster’s teams return to action this coming weekend in St. Catharines to compete in the Brock Cup on Saturday (Nov. 23).
