Transway Bantams are dynamite at Dynamos tourney


The Transway Bantam Girls wrapped up 2013 with a gold medal at the recent 17th Annual Dundas Dynamos Kick Off Basketball Tournament. This is the team’s third consecutive gold medal at the Dynamo tournament and second AAA tournament win of the season.

A true team effort with every player contributing offensively and defensively, as the team faced opponents from Ancaster, Kitchener-Waterloo, North Toronto, and Stoney Creek, going 4-0 to claim the gold. Scores from the weekend were 29-14, 49 – 20, 61-35, and 43-21.

The team breaks for the holidays with a 9-0 record, and will resume its season in January, looking ahead to provincials in Windsor in April. Players and coaches of the Bantam team are from Stoney Creek, Burlington, Dundas, Ancaster, and Hamilton.

The team is coached by Kelly Dunham and Jodie Connolly and the manager is Tim Mathews.
