Getting McMaster Marauders women’s volleyball coach Tim Louks recruiting off to an exciting start, Toronto native Jill Eisenhauer has committed to join the Maroon and Grey in the fall of 2014.

A 6-1 middle player, Eisenhauer was a member of Ontario’s 2013 U18 indoor team, which won the national gold medal, and the U18 provincial beach team.

“Jill is a great addition to our program and roster before she even steps on the court,” Louks said. “Her academic ambition is intense and her commitment to success is obvious. She will bring these attributes to the court and the locker room, and have an immediate impact on her teammates and the opposition.”

All set to graduate from the Greenwood College School, Eisenhauer always had McMaster among her top choices as she went through the recruiting process.

“Academically, McMaster has an outstanding reputation so it was always high on my list,” said Eisenhauer, who also enjoyed the experience of getting to know the Marauder program. “Earlier last year I got the chance to work with Tim on the court and loved his coaching style, along with the thought of joining a younger, growing team where I will be a part of the development.”

As a member of the Leaside Volleyball Club, Eisenhauer helped her team win the silver medal at last year’s national club championships.

“I could not be more thrilled to call myself a Marauder and can’t wait for next season,” Eisenhauer said about her university choice. “I am so excited to start playing for Mac and officially join the McMaster community!”

Louks says Eisenhauer has already made an impressive impact on the Canadian volleyball scene.

“I believe she is only going to get stronger and faster,” Louks added. “Our current roster is very excited that Jill has made McMaster her destination. She is ready to help make the room better, raise our court intensity, and make her teammates successful.”
