Coaches, parents and supporters of the Hamilton Minor Football Association are encouraged to attend the organization’s annual general meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 12. The session starts at 7 p.m. at Michelangelo’s, 1555 Upper Ottawa Street. The number-one item on the agenda is the planned merger with the Hamilton Wentworth Minor Football Association.
The league celebrated its 50th anniversary last season and has always operated under the principle of practice where you live, with community teams representing Westdale (the Eskimos), the West Mountain (Riders), East Mountain (Lions), East Hamilton (Stampeders) and Stoney Creek (Bombers).
This past season the HMFA featured house-league teams at the atom (8-10), peewee (11-12) and bantam (13-14) levels and atom, peewee and bantam rep teams, known as the Hamilton Junior Tiger-Cats, playing fall rep ball.
For more information, in advance of the meeting, details are available by contacting Paul Micieli, HMFA/HWMFA merger committee, email@example.com or Jim Gamble, HMFA president, firstname.lastname@example.org, 289-456-2628.
