Mountaineers team up for badminton crowns


Mohawk College won two titles at the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association Badminton Championships at Humber College in Etobicoke on Saturday (Feb. 15).

The team of Adam D’Agostino and Kianoosh Moslemi took the men’s doubles crown. The Mountaineer duo were 5-0 in the round robin portion of the event over two days. They defeated George Brown in the semi finals, before dispatching Seneca’s Jimin Jung and Tommy Cheung in the Gold medal match.

Meanwhile, the women’s doubles team of Victoria Hall and Kimloung Lim also went through the round robin 5-0 and won their semi-final over George Brown, before downing Seneca’s Carol Dela Cerna and Katie Liu in the final.

Hall and Lim also were named OCAA All-Stars.
