Registration for the 7th year of Binbrook Cal Ripken Baseball has opened through the club’s web site,
In-person registration is also scheduled to take place at Glanbrook Arena in March. The registration times are:
Saturday, March 8th – 11am – 1pm
Saturday, March 22nd – 11am – 1pm
The association’s 2014 season will see two levels of T-Ball (ages 4-6), played on Monday or Tuesday nights; Rookie Ball (ages 7-8) on Wednesdays; Minor Ball (ages 9-10) on Thursdays; and Major Ball (ages 11-13) on days still to be determined. A tournament team for registered players ages 10 and under is also in the works.
Games take place at Edwards Memorial Park (Golf Club/Woodburn Rd) in Woodburn. Older divisions may also play against teams from the East Hamilton Battlefield Cal Ripken League. Players are urged to register early to avoid disappointment, especially for T-Ball, as space is limited.
The cost is $80 for T-Ball, $95 for Rookie, Minor, and Major Ball. All players must be the age by May 1st, 2013.
The league boundaries cover all of southeast Hamilton including Binbrook, Mount Hope, and Upper Stoney Creek (south of Mud St).
Binbrook Cal Ripken Baseball was established in 2008 as an affiliate of the Babe Ruth League, returning America’s pass-time to the fields of Glanbrook after an extended absence. Keeping baseball fun, especially in the early stages of youth baseball, while growing skills is a primary concern of the Babe Ruth League’s Cal Ripken Division which is comprised of Major, Minor, Rookie, and T-Ball Divisions for ages 4-13.
