The top eight teams from across the province come together Thursday, Friday and Saturday (Feb. 27-March 1) at Mohawk College to decide the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association’s 2014 women’s basketball champions.
The three-day tournament will be staged at Mohawk’s new David Braley Athletic and Recreation Centre, the first major sporting event to be held at the new complex. Mohawk is also hosting the Canadian Colleges Athletics Association national men’s basketball championship next year.
The women’s teams start arriving in Hamilton on Wednesday. Each team will have an opportunity to practise prior to the tournament start on Thursday. The Mountaineers play their first game against Durham on Thursday at 6 p.m.
The gold medal game takes place on Saturday at 7 p.m.
